Mumbai, June 15 : Tarana, the wife of Team India's new opener (in limited over games) Faiz Fazal, is fasting in the holy month of Ramadan alongwith her husband.

When the news about Faiz's inclusion in the final XI for the 3rd ODI against Zimbabwe reached her, she didn't waste a minute to go for prayers. This was revealed by Faiz's father Yakub Fazal.

Speaking exclusively over his mobile from Nagpur, the dad says, "we got the news when the cap was handed over to my son by captain Dhoni and the joy knew no bounds".

"It was a very happy moment for all of us. Tarana also went for prayers immediately after India's win".

"We all sat together and watched the entire match. I didn't go to my medical shop but stayed at home".

"At last he could pray for India. He grabbed the opportunity with both hands. This was his only chance in the series to play. Honestly we had not hoped for his inclusion in the final eleven. We thought he would be given a chance in the T20s. When he had missed his chance (due to the last minute injury and his place was taken by Robin Uthappa) to represent India in Under-19, we became so nervous".

"We are happy with his contribution in India's victory. His unbeaten 55 runs (7 fours, 1 six) made us proud and it was a fine gesture by his partner (Lokesh Rahul) to handover him a stump. The stump will be kept in a special cupboard at our home. There are many trophies won by him are kept in this cupboard", Yakub Fazal added.

There was some anxious moments in the match when Faiz was injured while fielding.

"It all happens in the game and it didn't worry us as it was not a serious injury".
