Biography: | Served in the Hereford Light Infantry and later in the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. He landed in France soon after D-Day and fought in Belgium and Holland. He was wounded three times. He was awarded the Military Cross in 1946 for leadership and courage. High Sheriff and Deputy Lieutenant of Hereford and Worcester. Colonel in the TA. Appointed CBE in 1975 for services to the Territorial Army |
